SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro to Speak at Forum's Policy Conference

The Forum is very pleased to announce that SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro will give the keynote address on May 4 at the Forum’s Ninth Annual Policy Conference. Regulatory reform remains a very hot topic today and the SEC will play an important role in shaping that reform. Attendees at the Conference will be the first public audience to hear Chairman Schapiro’s views on regulatory reform in the fund industry and how that reform could effect fund independent directors. The Conference will also provide Chairman Schapiro with an opportunity to see how important these issues are to all participants in the fund industry, including independent directors.

Participants will also have the opportunity to hear from other top SEC officials as well. Commissioners Troy Paredes and Elisse Walter will speak at the conference as will Andrew Donohue, Director of the Division of Investment Management.

The Forum’s Policy Conference will be held on May 4-5, 2009 at the Ritz Carlton in Washington, DC. Please visit www.mfdf.com for a registration form or for more information.
