Forum Launches Web-based Encyclopedia for Directors

Yesterday, the Forum launched a new online feature exclusive to our members: The Directors' Resource Center. The Directors’ Resource Center is a new component of the Forum’s website (www.mfdf.com) accessible only to Forum members that functions as a convenient reference library containing guidance on key topics, speeches by legislators and regulators, podcasts, official pronouncements, and other resources focused on the needs of fund directors.

The Directors’ Resource Center is designed, not as as static list of links, but as a dynamic, up-to-date reference source, with users having the opportunity to provide input and feedback that will help determine what topics get expanded and what new materials become available.  It will serve as a constantly evolving encyclopedia of key topics and issues and a place for Forum members to stay abreast of the latest industry trends and regulatory developments.  We will be using Forum News Feed to alert members to new and interesting additions to the Resource Center.

The number and scope of issues facing fund independent directors is greater than ever, especially in today’s turbulent economic times.  To help our members stay informed, we are continually looking for new ways to ensure that they have easy access to helpful information, and the Directors’ Resource Center is sure to be a useful tool for fund directors in 2009 and beyond.

The Directors' Resource Center may be accessed in two ways:
  1. Via a link on the Members Only page of the Forum's website at http://www.mfdf.com/members/members.html

  2. Directly at: http://www.mfdf.com/members/DirectorsResourceCenterMembersOnly.html
The Resource Center is restricted to Forum members only and will require simple sign-in for members.  Should you have trouble accessing the Directors' Resource Center or any part of the Forum's website, please feel free to contact us by clicking this link.
